Awards & Recognition

Prime Time Palm Beach County encourages professionalism and excellence in the field of afterschool.  To recognize and honor exemplary individuals for their work in the field of afterschool, Prime Time presented "Advancing Afterschool Awards" at the Prime Time Palm Beach County Afterschool Symposium Awards Luncheon on May 11, 2012. Winners were recognized for their commitment to quality standards, dedication to the children and contributions to the afterschool field.  Winners and their catorgories are listed below.

  • Stellar Performance by an Afterschool Frontline Staff Member awared to Cara Conlogue – Individual who works directly with children, provides supervision and guidance for children.  This person also does program planning, parent communication & community involvement. Examples: instructors, group leaders, assistants or aides.
  • Terrific Leadership by an Afterschool Director awarded to Rosanne Lasorsa 
    Individual who supervises/oversees the school-age program.  Responsibilities include program implementation, evaluation, staff supervision, parent communication, relationship-building with community.
  • Excellence in Enhancements by an Instructor awarded to Sonja Kelly
    Individual employed by a Prime Time program enhancement partner who works directly with the youth and/or trains afterschool staff  in presenting specialized enhancement programs which exhibit all the quality standards for afterschool.
  • A-plus for the Principal in Afterschool awarded to Suzanne Gibbs
    Exemplary principal who shares effective collaborative relationships with afterschool personnel and shows strong commitment to the development of high-quality expanded learning opportunities for children and youth.
  • Making a Difference for Afterschool in our Community awarded to Gloria Allin 
    Public official, community volunteer or afterschool advocate who has contributed to awareness of quality afterschool programs.  Individual provides support or funding of afterschool programming.
