Knight Middle School Enhancement Project
2004-2009
The goal of this project is to increase the quality of and participation in afterschool programs geared toward middle school youth in three targeted communities: Riviera Beach, North West Palm Beach, and the Glades. Ultimately, Prime Time aims to consistently increase the number of youth attending afterschool programs. The middle school years are challenging for many youth. Participation in afterschool programs greatly reduces the chances of dropping out of school and engaging in risky behavior. Participation increases academic engagement, gives youth higher self-esteem and results in more positive social behaviors. 

This project is funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.

Newspaper Project

The Chit Chat Times teen newspaper is hot off the press. It is a newspaper written by teens for teens in Palm Beach County with support from Prime Time. This paper gives teens the opportunity to have a voice in their community.

Let your youth be heard! We encourage you to have your youth write and submit articles to the Chit Chat Times.
