TWO-DAY EVENT AIMED TO SEND POSITIVE MESSAGE
TO AFTERSCHOOL PROFESSIONALS IN PALM BEACH COUNTY

Prime Time Palm Beach County (Prime Time) will host its Afterschool Symposium 2019 at the West Palm Beach Marriott, May 16 and 17, 2019. The Afterschool Symposium 2019 is a  two-day event offering networking and learning, while celebrating the accomplishments that Palm Beach County afterschool professionals have made to create quality afterschool programs that provide opportunity, education, positive relationships and fun to the children and youth who attend. This year's theme, Spark the Mind that Changes the World, sends an important message about the positive affect that one individual can have in transforming a child’s life.

Palm Beach State College (PBSC) President Ava L. Parker will kick off the Symposium, providing the initial spark to ignite the Out-of-School Time (OST) Recognition Breakfast on May 16, 2019, where Prime Time will acknowledge important educational milestones of OST professionals and achievements by afterschool programs. With Ava Parker’s leadership and PBSC’s dynamic educational offerings, Prime Time has been fortunate to scholarship hundreds of afterschool practitioners in excess of $4 million, helping them to achieve their goals and acquire the tools necessary to provide superior quality service to local children and youth. Following the breakfast, guests will attend an Exhibitor Showcase, featuring products and services that enhance the afterschool experience.

On May 17, 2019, Denis Estimon, Founder and CEO of We Dine Together, will deliver the keynote address and the attendees will participate in professional development workshops and attend the Advancing Afterschool Awards 2019 Luncheon, where a peer-nominated awards celebration will recognize outstanding contributions to the field.
