Quality Improvement

With more than 10 years of experience in afterschool, youth development and community advocacy, Andrea graduated from the University of South Florida in Tampa as a first generation college graduate, with a Bachelor of Art in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Healthcare. Now Andrea reviews program quality data; and provides ongoing coaching and technical assistance as part of the Palm Beach County Quality Improvement System (QIS). Her position as a collegiate multi-cultural chair for the Latin American Student Association, helped her advanced her love for leadership in diverse community settings; as a Peruvian this meant connections to culture and different people.

Since 2011, Andrea has held leadership positions for Relay for Life and is passionate about community connection and creating memorable positive experiences. Andrea’s long-standing connection to the YMCA, provided her space and time to cultivate enriching leadership skills for adolescents, 12-18 years old. Andrea continues to stay involved with leadership and community engagement through the USF Palm Beach County Alumni chapter as a committee chair, focusing on community service and emerging the connection to teens of Alumni members to service level projects as well. In her spare time, she loves yoga, writing reviews as a Yelp Elite-this is year 9! Lily is her pride and joy, she is a mini golden doddle. Her goal for 2024 is to advance as a Rising Leaders graduate through Non-Profits first.
